There seems to be a problem with the Via chipset that is stopping the new Windows XP ACPI.sys from working with the VP6. You can use the ACPI.sys (IRQ handling is not as good, but better than not working at all eh?) from Windows 2000 (SP2 is best). Rename it to ACPI2.SYS and put it in the system32\drivers directory
